Letter to an Editor

Over the next few days students will be researching, discussing and thinking critically over the recent repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell".  Students will learn the history of this issue and take a stance on whether gay and lesbians should serve openly in the American Military Armed Forces.  This stance will take shape in the form of a letter to the editor of a major newspaper.

Skills acquired:
* Reading, analyzing interpreting print material.
* Understanding what comprises a well thought out letter to the editor.
* Constructing a concise and opinionated letter.
